After a long and distinguished career in preventive medicine and public health, Dr. Billy Philips is emerging as a distinctive voice in poetry, storytelling, and avocational writing. Encouraged by friends who have read and admired his work, his debut collection, Ghostwood, marks the beginning of several forthcoming literary projects. Writing from the heart and shaped by a life rich in experience, he captures the beauty, challenges, and reflections of everyday life. A sixth-generation Texan, Dr. Philips resides in Lubbock, where he enjoys time with his family and continues to pursue his creative passions.
